Electrical Goods
There are many places to buy your electrical goods from ranging from cheap to expensive.
The cheapest place is Carrefore but cheap can mean hasstle especially if you are not living in Spain.
The Spanish small electrical shop are best before they deliver and fit everything for you, and if you have any problems they will come out and fix them unlike the large superstores.
The company I used was Master Cadena in Algorfia Village on the corner. I bought all silver goods including a washer, dishwasher, fridgefreezer, oven gas hob and an air conditioning unit all for around 2000 Euros.
Light Fittings
These can be very expensive in Spain and some English fittings won't work. We were recommended a light comany called Luz Hogan in VillaMartin located on the outside of the plaza. The gentleman doesn't speak good english but he will come and measure up and if you don't like what he has done he will gladly change it for nothing.
All his fittings are good quality not like those you will find in the large superstores and the cost includes fitting also. It cost us for a 2 bed apartment 600 Euro's not cheap but they look good.
Fires
Although I do not have a fire in my apartment Ambifuego in Los Montesinos come hightly recommended.
Bedding/Curtains
You can buy bedding at the local markets but you might find bedding cheaper to buy in England.
Pictures
There are a great variety of pictures at the local markets put they are very Spanish so if you are looking for something more English I suggest you go to Ikea in Murcia.
Ikea
This only opened recently but I believe it is very simular to those in England.
Sofa/Beds/Dining Table
I found it difficult to find what I really wanted so I bought this in England and used a removal company who were fantastic. Please see their website www.privilegeremovalsandstorage.co.uk
They were more than helpful they picked everything up from England and when I arrived in Spain 3 days later the furniture was there ready for me.
